Our Story

History

Bob’s Army Store was purchased by Ronnie & Sandy Pfohl in 1976, from Kenny & Verna Haugstad. The Haugstad's owned the store for 20 years prior, selling men's clothing. Ronnie & Sandy had 2 daughters, Marcie Hertz who is a Livingston Realtor and Shelly, who purchased the store in 1996 continues to operate the store hands on with her family.

The Pfohl's then changed the store name to Bob’s Outdoor.

Ronnie was born and raised in Livingston & Sandy was raised on ranches in Paradise Valley.

After traveling to the Billings clothing market for several years, Sandy saw the colorful women's Woolrich flannel shirts & added women's clothing lines to the store.

These new clothing lines changed the entire structure of the store. The women’s clothing brands became an integral part of Bob’s Outdoor, while retaining the men's traditional clothing lines.
